At 7:45 am on August 6, 2023, SWAT officers ripped apart the home of a person of interest in connection with the disappearance of a Redlands couple.

The couple, 30-year-old Heather Locklear and her 32-year-old husband Chris Ansley, were reported missing on July 30, 2023, after they failed to return home from a hike.

Investigators identified the person of interest, 45-year-old David Carter, through his cell phone records. Carter is an acquaintance of the couple, and his phone was last pinged near the trailhead where the couple was hiking.

Home Destroyed During Raid

SWAT officers raided Carter's home early this morning, but did not find the couple.

The raid caused significant damage to the home, with walls being torn down and furniture being destroyed.

Carter was taken into custody at the scene and is being questioned by investigators.
