Norris On Mclaren Briefings Its About Clarity

Norris on McLaren briefings: "It's about clarity"

McLaren driver Lando Norris has said that the team's briefings need to be clearer in order to improve performance.

Norris has had a difficult start to the 2023 season, scoring just 12 points in the first five races. He has been outpaced by teammate Oscar Piastri, who has scored 21 points.

Norris believes that the team's briefings are not providing him with enough clear information about the car and how to drive it. He said:

"I think it's just a question of clarity. We need to be clearer in our briefings about what we're expecting from the car and how we want to drive it. At the moment, there's a bit too much guesswork involved."

Norris' comments come after a difficult weekend for McLaren at the Spanish Grand Prix. Norris finished 11th, while Piastri finished ninth.

McLaren team principal Andreas Seidl said that the team is working on improving its briefings.

"We're aware that our briefings need to be better," Seidl said. "We're working on making them clearer and more concise."

Norris is hoping that the team can make progress in this area soon. He said:

"I'm confident that we can turn things around. We have a good car, and we have a great team. We just need to find a bit more clarity in our briefings."
