Leipzig's pre-season preparation continues with a 4-0 win over Meuselwitz

Bundesliga club RB Leipzig kicked off their pre-season campaign with a comprehensive 4-0 victory over fourth-tier side Meuselwitz on Saturday, July 1st, 2023.

The match, played at the Stadion am Bad in Meuselwitz, saw Leipzig field a strong starting lineup including several new signings.

Leipzig took the lead in the 20th minute when Benjamin Henrichs fired home from close range. The goal came after some excellent work by Dominik Szoboszlai, who picked out Henrichs with a perfectly weighted pass.

Leipzig doubled their lead just five minutes later when Andre Silva headed home from a corner. The Portuguese striker has been in impressive form for Leipzig during pre-season and looks set to be a key player for the club this season.
