God's Name and Nature
The Bible is filled with verses that describe God's nature and character. He is sovereign, eternal, and unchanging. He is holy, just, and righteous. He is merciful, gracious, and loving. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, and ever-present. He is the creator of all things and the sustainer of all life.
God's Attributes
Some of the attributes of God that are mentioned in the Bible include:
- Sovereignty: God is the supreme ruler over all creation.
- Eternity: God has always existed and will always exist.
- Unchangeableness: God's nature and character never change.
- Holiness: God is perfect and holy in all His ways.
- Justice: God is just and righteous in all His dealings.
- Mercy: God is merciful and compassionate towards those who repent of their sins.
- Grace: God's grace is His unmerited favor towards us.
- Love: God is love and desires a relationship with us.
- Power: God is all-powerful and can do anything He wants.
- Knowledge: God is all-knowing and knows everything that has happened, is happening, and will happen.
- Presence: God is ever-present and is with us wherever we go.
